traser Watches at Half Price!! While They Last!

OK, it's been 5 years. We really ought to post more often.  I'm told blogs are making a comeback, although no one uses the name "blog" anymore.  I guess we ought to do video and call it a podcast.

At any rate, we wanted you to know we do have a selection of traser watches at 1/2 price, while remaining quantities last.  Just follow this link ---> https://gemday.com/collections/closeouts

The P68 Pathfinder Has Arrived!

Traser is a very Swiss and very European oriented watch designer and manufacturer.  They promoted the grand unveiling of their new top-of-the-line flagship watch, the Swiss P68 Pathfinder Automatic aggressively in Europe.  Our previous blog post has the teaser video that never really showed the watch but gave hints to its functions and appearance.  The "Grand Reveal" date was yesterday, September 29, 2017.

Traser elected not to pre-distribute the watches to dealers here in America for fear one of them might post pictures or, even worse, sell a watch before the reveal date.  Traser is great company, but they lack the iron clad control over their dealers that Apple has.  The watches have now been shipped to the U.S. and will be available here for sale in the next few days.

With each new release Traser has shown both its ability and its willingness to take on the premier Swiss manufacturers like Ball Watch and Luminox.  Their watch equal and, in our opinion, often exceed the more well known prestige brands.  Traser does have an advantage. They are the world's only manufacturer of Tritium Gas Tube Illumination.  Others must buy the tubes from Traser.  And Traser keeps the newest technology for themselves for a year or more.

The P68 Pathfinder is a Swiss Automatic and is entirely Swiss Made.  The movement has a date function with the date window at the 3 o'clock position on the dial.

Traser has added an "under the sapphire glass" compass bezel controlled by an external crown at the 8 o'clock position.  A watch compass bezel allows the wearer to use the relative position of the sun compared to the hour hand to determine direction.  The technology here is, quite literally, as old as time.  While other watches have had compass bezels, Traser has embraced the technology here and provides detailed and illustrated instructions on its use with the watch.

As always with Traser the key is the use of multiple illumination technologies to create a watch that at dusk and through the night makes the watch a joy to see and to own. Tritium tubes are used on all three hands and on all 12 hour indices for permanent illumination.  They then add Super Luminova paint to the numbers and the compass bezel to create a wonderland of illumination.  You can see the result at the top of this page.

The Traser P68 Pathfinder Automatic is available for order now on the Time 4 Tritium Website which also has a wealth of additional pictures in information about the watch, including fiull specifications.  Be sure to check out the slideshow on the Time 4 Tritium home page.  It takes a few seconds to load but is well worth the await!

Introducing the All New Time 4 Tritium Website

We are very pleased to introduce our entirely redesigned Time 4 Tritium Website.  This represents a gigantic step forward in both website design and in content presentation.  We believe this is the premier site for both buying and learning about watches.

First, and most importantly the website is now completely mobile friendly and will resize automatically for your tablet or your mobile phone without ANY LOSS OF CONTENT.  Too many website penalize users when they convert to a mobile phone size, reducing or actually eliminating content available on the browser size site.  Not on piece of information is lost.

Content is king on the new Time 4 Tritium Website.  Because we are actual dealers and we stock and ship every item shown on our website we actually have seen, handled, explored and tested every watch.  Many of our competitors have never seen a watch, they are conduits for outside manufacturers to ship.  They don't know dimensions, features or even how the watch works.  We are actual watchmakers and know the product inside and out.

All that information makes its way onto the website.  The information is detailed and complete.  Plus we back it all up with our TOLL FREE NUMBER 1 (888) 243-6329 so you can ask even more questions without any pressure to buy.

Click on this link to see a great example of the really indepth information we provide:  Traser P66 Red Alert Tactical Military Watch Now try this experiment: Do a Google Search and locate any other dealer and look at their website.  Most don't even realize the watch uses rare RED TRITIUM. They don't know the specs, they have no idea what tritium is our how it works.

The new Time 4 Tritium Website has a much larger selection of watches than ever before.  Yet it's easy to navigate and fun to explore.  And there is much more to come.

Finally, we would welcome your feedback, ideas and suggestions.  Please add a comment to this blog. We look forward to hearing from you.

Tritium Lights No bigger than the Size of a Hair

The world leader in the technology of Tritium illumination, H3 mb-microtec, the Swiss parent of Traser watches, has now emerged as a leading Swiss technology designer with ground breaking, innovative, highly functional designs. Because H3 mb-microtec is the world's only designer and manufacturer of tritium gas tubes, their watch division, Traser, gets the new technology first.

This new technology has been named Trigalight® HairLight Tritium because it is so incredibly thin. The outer glass tubes are about the thickness of five human hairs, and the actual inner glowing gas is only about the thickness of a single hair!

So far Traser has introduced two models that use the HairLight Tritium tubes and both are pictured at the top of the page. First is the Traser T5 Aurora Chronograph that uses the super thin Hairlight to illuminate the chronograph subdials.  A custom sapphire crystal provides perfect visibility of the detail possible with the new tubes.  There has never been a watch this stunning after dark!

The second watch to employ this technology is the Traser Aurora GMT Pilot's Watch. The P59 Aurora GMT is a true dual time zone, 24 hour timepiece with a fourth hand to easily indicate 24 hour time for any time zone you desire. The dial is crisp and easy to read in daylight and is great looking, too. Once again the key to this design is the super thin HairLight Tritium that allows illumination of not only the 24 hour hand, but also all 24 hour markers. There is Tritium Illumination on all 12 hour markers and on ALL HANDS.

2015 Trasers (part 4) - Special Forces 100

The best tritium watch on the market is getting a face lift and it's better than ever!  This week we are taking a look at the all new Special Forces 100 and how the best watch in the business is getting even better.

The Special Forces 100 is the new replacement series for the old Commander Force 100 and while it shares many of the same features with the out going model, it improves the watch in almost every way.  Starting from the ground up the Special Forces 100 takes everything we love about the reigning champ and makes it just a little better.

Let's start with the styling.  The new model certainly shares the same basic shapes and style of the original but tweaks it just enough to make a statement.  The differences are subtle but once you start to look closely they are unmistakable. First off it's bigger.  Measuring in at 44mm in diameter (up from 42mm) bringing it in-line with the new standard of modern men's watches while retaining the standard 12mm thickness of most Tritium watches on the market.  The new size is comfortable on the wrist while providing slightly bolder look and yet not too big to wear every day for every occasion.

The Special Forces 100 also gets a new font which really updates the overall look of the watch.  I know a new font seems like a little thing but you really do notice.  It makes for sharper numbers and once again brings the watch into a more modern style.  The old watch actually got a new font on the dial not too long ago but bezel is really showing it's age.  It's basically the same bezel it's had since the watch was launched and it's really showing it's age.  It has a very old-school feel to it and the new dial/bezel looks like something from the digital age.  It ties everything together nicely freshens up the whole watch.

And speaking of the new dial, the new internal bezel (that holds the Tritium for markers for 1-12) is now recessed giving the hands more room and providing more surface area under the crystal.  You'll notice the second hand now floats over the hour markers rather than stop short.  The change makes for a much larger look that is more readable than before and allows for a greater use of space.  This coupled with the larger case make for a dramatic increase of overall dial space, where as the old dial looked somewhat squished.

Hands are different now too.  Gone are the old school hands that accompanied almost all Tritium watches for a generation and in it's place is a much more contemporary look.  We also find new stamping on the setting crown, which is now adorned with the signature H3 logo (trademark logo for Traser's Tritium Trigilight technology) and the crown is also slightly larger and easier to grip.  This allows for easier opening and closing of the screw-down functionality as well as setting procedures.

As with all the new 2015 Traser's we are looking at, this model features the Ronda 715.6 Li Quartz movement that provides up to 10-years battery life in between changes.  Definitely one of my favorite things about the new models.  Getting to go 10 years in between changes is a really nice feature and something missing from the original.

Most of the standard features like 200 meters water resistant, sapphire crystal, screwdown crown, screwdown caseback, solid titanium case and bracelet (and of course full Tritium illumination) remain untouched but the little things mentioned above all add up to a nicely updated watch that still retains everything that made it great in the first place.  And in a market where an affordable solid titanium watch remains the minority, the Traser Special Forces 100 retains it's crown as the watch to beat in an ever growing and competitive marketplace.

For a full list of feature, specs and prices visit one of our great sites: Topflight Watches or Time 4 Tritium or call us Toll Free at 1-888-243-6329.  One of our friendly staff would be happy to provide you with any information you need.  We love to talk about watches!

Stay tuned next week for our look at the Survivor Pro.

2015 Trasers (part 3) - Blue Infinity

Welcome to Week 3 of our Traser 2015 special.  This week we are going to take a closer look at the Blue Infinity.

The Blue Infinity is the brother to the Green Spirit of last week and largely shares most of it's features.  The biggest distinction of the two watches is of course the color and to a smaller extent, the overall way in which the color is applied.  The Blue Infinity is much more symmetrical for starters.  Aside from the asymmetrical stripes on the band, the rest of the watch is colored in a fairly standard fashion.

Like the Green Spirit, the Blue Infinity is Traser's way of adding some color and pop to their impressive line of watches but the Blue Infinity is much more reserved in my opinion than last weeks offering.  While the Green Spirit is a little on the loud side, almost screaming with it's near neon-green, the Blue Infinity is a  darker affair.  In fact, paired with a standard black nato-style band the watch would easily be understated enough to go as an every day watch for any occasion.

On the flip side though, I actually quite like the blue and white striped band.  The white makes a nice accent and helps set off the design.  Black, blue and white is carried throughout the watch design, from the band to the hands to the dial and tie everything together quite nicely.

One of the other ways the Blue Infinity sets itself apart is by utilizing Blue Tritium illumination.  Kind of a no-brainer here sure but it's a nice touch all the same.  At night you'll find blue tritium on every hand and marker save the 12 o'clock, which is white Tritium (again a nice touch from a color standpoint).

(Night photo courtesy of Traser)

Technical specs for this model are identical to the Green Spirit save the few already mentioned.  Here is a complete run down:

  • P6600 Double Case Design, Steel Inner Case with a Carbon Fiber Outer Case
  • Movement: Ronda Calibre 517.6 DD
  • Blue Tritium Illumination on the Hour, Minute and Second Hands and Eleven Hour Markers
  • White Tritium on the 12 o'clock Hour Marker
  • Blue Tritium on the Elapse Time Bezel
  • Virtually Scratchproof Sapphire Crystal
  • 660 Feet (200 Meters) Water Resistant
  • Day and Date Window
  • Bidirectional Timer Style Outer Bezel
  • Screw Down Crown
  • Screw Down Case back
  • Nylon Fabric NATO Military Strap with Stainless Steel Buckle
DIMENSIONS:
  • Diameter: 45mm (48mm with crown)
  • Depth: (thickness) 11 mm
  • Lug Width: 22 millimeters

But at the end of the day, the biggest differences are cosmetic between these two new models. My best advise would be to choose the one you like best.  Essentially they are the same watch so take the one that speaks to you.  Because regardless of which you choose, you'll end up with a solid well made watch you can count on.  Traser makes some of the best watches in the business and these are no exception.

As always, you can visit us at any one of our store fronts to see more information, prices, details and availability: Gem of the Day, TopFlight Watches and Time 4 Tritium

Stay tuned for next weeks adventures.  Coming up is the all new Tornado Pro, Survivor Pro and Special Forces 100.  See you soon!

2015 Trasers (part 2) - Green Spirit

Welcome back to our multi-part coverage of the all NEW 2015 Traser watches.  This week we are going to take a closer look at the Green Spirit.  The Green Spirit is one of two new additions to the P6600 line of watches in the Traser line.  The P6600 all started with the Mil-G, the next gen military watch from Traser.  This watch effectively replaced the old Type-6 as the newest go-to military spec watch.  These watches were designed and intended for actual military use and as such they were very utilitarian and basic from a style standpoint.  As the popularity of the Mil-G grew Traser knew they needed to expand the series to cater to a wider audience.

As the series expanded, we started to get more and more styles.  At first, they were still very close to the Mil-G in terms of style.  Watches like the Elite Red and P6600 Automatic made little changes like Tritium color or swapping for an Automatic mechanical movement but before long the P6600 platform took over as the driving platform for a large portion of the traser line.  Everything from the Red Combat to the Extreme Sport to the Classic Elegance Chrono can draw it's heritage right back to the original Mil-G.

Now enters the Green Spirit.  The most colorful and boldest variation of the P6600 series yet.  It's Trasers first attempt at a truly bold look in years and one of the few competitors to the colorful Colormark series from Luminox.  It's vibrant design is masterfully carried out from top to bottom.  Starting out with the basic P6600 case the Green Spirit makes some bold changes.

It's not just the addition of the color green but how it was introduced.  There are some cool design ques going on here that really make the watch pop.  Notice how the bezel is accented with the color green from 12 o'clock to 6 o'clock and how the inner bezel is colored to match giving the watch and feint asymmetrical design.  Even more than that the inner bezel numbering and the dial numbering offset each other.  "6-12" is found on the inner bezel and "18-24" on the dial.

This asymmetrical design is also carried over into the band with the green stripes lining up opposite the outer bezel accents.  Each layer from the outside in only ever accents half of the watch.  It's subtle and most people might not even notice but it give this watch and really unique look within the Traser line and it's little touches like that that I look for when I buy a watch.

Like most of the P6600 series watches, the Green Spirit has a double case construction.  Black polymer outer-case with a steel inner-case.  This allows the watch to be lighter than a steel watch but still retain the screw-down caseback and crown.  This assures 200 meter water resistance as well as long term durability.  The Green Spirit also shares some upgrades with some of the later P6600 models.  Most notably it has a genuine Sapphire crystal

A full rundown of the specs look like this:
  • Double Case: Stainless Steel, Fiberglass Reinforced
  • Movement: Ronda Calibre 517.6 DD
  • Sapphire Crystal
  • Trigalight Tritium Gas Illumination
  • Green Tritium on the Hour and Minute Hands
  • Green Tritium on the Unidirectional Timer Bezel
  • Green Tritium on the Number 1 thriu 11
  • Orange Tritium on the 12 o'clock Marker
  • Blackout Dial with Green paint on the Hands and Markers
  • Water Resistant to 20 Atmospheres (660 feet)
  • Screw Down Crown
  • Screw Down Caseback
  • Nylon NATO Style Strap / Green Stripes
  • DIMENSIONS:
  • Diameter: 45 millimeters (48 millimeters with setting crown)
  • Thickness: 11 millimeters
As you can see from above, despite the fancy color, the Green Spirit is the real deal.  It can easily take whatever you dish out and come back for more.  And of course because it's a Traser it features full Trigalight Tritium Illumination.  Meaning you can see this watch easily and accurately in any light condition, day or night.

All in all I really like the direction Traser has taken with the Green Spirit.  Adding more color to the line is a much needed step in the right direction.  It really pops and shines a light on an already impressive growing line of watches.  And as always you can find out more information, prices, picture and more on all three of our retail sites: Gem of the Day, TopFlight Watches and Time 4 Tritium.

Stay tuned next week as we take a look at the Green Spirit's brother, the Blue Infinity in part 3 of our on going coverage of the new Traser 2015 models.

Traser Outdoor Pioneer Chronograph

The Traser Outdoor Chronograph

Say hello to the all new Traser Outdoor Pioneer Chronograph.  Its the latest series available from Traser and it does something none of their other watches do.  It's an all new series with all new tricks!  On the surface, the watch looks like another in the ever expanding P6600 series but closer inspection reveals something completely different.  It's true there is a family resemblance but pretty much everything is new here.  It's slightly slimmer measuring in at 44 mm across the diameter and a little thicker top to bottom, measuring in at a chunky 14mm thick.

But there is a reason for this extra thickness.  Firstly, this is a chronograph series and those movements require a little more room than a traditional 3-hand movement but more importantly, there is a little more room in there for it's secret weapon, the Tritium Illuminated Date Window.  That's right!  For the first time ever, Traser has made a watch with a fully illuminated date window.

This was done by cutting out the numbers on the date wheel and then placing a Tritium tube underneath.  At night the effect is a perfectly readable date just like the rest of the hands/markers.  It works flawlessly and really adds that "X factor" to this series.  Normally this type of feature is only found on the really high end Tritium watch but Traser has done it and managed to keep the cost down too!  At a full retail price of $525, the Outdoor Pioneer Chronograph is a fantastic deal.

The rest of the watch is equally impressive as well.  just take a look at this list of features:

    • MOVEMENT: Ronda Caliber 5030D Quartz Chronograph Movement
    • 42 Month's Battery Life
    • Lightweight Fiberglass Reinforced Polyamide Case
    • Blackout Style Unidirectional Rotating Bezel
    • K1 Ultra Tough, Scratch Resistant, Mineral Glass Crystal
    • Water Resistant to 660 feet / 200 Meters below Sea Level
    • Black Silicone Dive Style Strap
    TRITIUM ILLUMINATION:
    • Green Tritium on Number Markers 1 through 11
    • Orange Tritium on the 12 o'clock marker
    • Green Tritium Marker on the Time Elapse Bezel
    • Green Tritium on the Hour Hand, Minute Hand AND Large Second Hand
    • Green Tritium BELOW the Date Window to Illuminate the Date

Robust, durable and ready for anything, the Outdoor Pioneer series lives up to it's name.  It's the perfect watch for any situation and full Tritium illumination means that you will always be able to see the watch no matter where life takes you.  For more information, pricing and ordering information you can call us Toll Free at (888) 243-6329 visit us at one of our stores: Gem of the Day, TopFlight Watches or Time 4 Tritium.  Real watch experts are available to answer any of your questions in a no-hassle, no-pressure environment.  We love to talk watches.  Give us a call!

Traser P6600 Sand Collection

The Watch Guys are please to bring you yet another new design from Traser.  This comes once again from the ever expanding P6600 series of watch.  This has proven to be a winning design and as such, Traser continues to expand and create new designs in this catalog of watches.  The newest design is the all new TRASER P6600 Sand Tactical Tritium Collection.

Based off of the popular P6600 Type 6 series of military watches, the P6600 Sand is highly stable, shock resistant, highly visible day or night, water resistance and ready for any adventure.

The new P6600 Sand is also the latest in a long line of top notch military watches featuring a lightweight double case construction, with an all steel case housed in a lightweight carbon-fiberglass outer shell. This design allows for a true screw down crown and case back, superior water resistance and overall durability.

Of course the new Traser P6600 Sand Watch has Traser's famed Trigalight(r) Illumination system, providing the best readability in all lighting situations.

But what sets this series apart is the new color design AND the inclusion of a Sapphire Crystal.  That's right, this is the only collection in the series (apart from the P6600 Automatic for nearly twice the price) to come with a Sapphire Crystal.  So when you combine the legendary durability and performance of the P6600 Type 6 with all new "Sand" design AND a Sapphire Crystal you get a truly special collection.  One that is on our short list of watches to keep an eye on.  This one is going to be HOT!

Check out more details, pics, prices and specs by visiting us at Time 4 Tritium and TopFlight Watches.

Traser Big Date Chronograph

The Watch Guys are proud to present the Tracer Big Date Chrongraph Series.  This is not the newest series available from Traser but it is one of my favorites.  The BIG DATE CHRONOGRAPH has the classic styling of the legendary Traser H3 Military Watches, but with the newest Swiss Made, Jeweled, Chronograph quartz movement. As you can see in the photograph above, the new Chronographs feature full dial tritium illumination from H3 mb-microtec.  This means that you can easily see the watch day and night in any condition.  These watches are available in four different options, two in lightweight Titanium and two in Black PVD.  Each with either a traditional Green Tritium or the newer Blue Tritium variants.

Worldwide, people who know about tritium illumination watches know that the Traser is the "real deal." Traser H3 by mb-microtec was the first military timepiece ever to be equipped with the patented tritium H3 permanent light technology. And the H3 mb-microtec models were actually the first to be issued to the men and women of the US Armed Forces. Today they are still the world standard and are the watches made for NATO armed forces.

The Big Date Chronograph Series is one of the best watches available from Traser today.  Solid Stainless Steel (or Titanium) construction, 100 Meters Water Resistant and a Sapphire Crystal are just some of the amazing features this watch has to offer.  It's a beautiful and well made timepiece that anyone would be proud to own and it won't break the bank.  One of my favorite features of the Traser brand is that they are reasonably priced.  And by comparison with other brands they are practically a steal.  You don't have to sacrifice any quality and can save hundreds of dollars!

For more information, specs and pricing please visit one of our sites: Gem of the Day, Time 4 Tritium or Topflight Watches or call me Toll Free at 1-888-243-6329.  Just ask for Zak.

Why Own a Tritium Watch?

Here at The Watch Guys we love watches.  But, as some of you may have noticed, we are particularly fond of Tritium illuminated watches.  Why is that?  Well it's because Tritium Illuminated Watches are just simply the best illuminated watches available today.  So "What is Tritium illumination?" I hear you say.  You may have heard some people talk about them and not know exactly what it is or how it works.  Let's take a look and see.  I am going to break down what Tritium illumination is, how it works and what it all means so next time you hear us talking about how much we love it, you'll understand why.

What is Tritium illumination?

Lets start off with what Tritium illumination is.  Tritium illumination is what is called a micro-gas technology.  Tritium illumination is not a paint but actually small glass tubes filled with a phosphorescent and Tritium in it's gaseous form.  The Tritium gas reacts with the phosphorescent and creates a continuous glow 24-hours a day / 7-days a week for about 25 years.  It is a chemical reaction that is very stable, safe and consistent.  From there the Tritium gas vials are inserted on the hands and dial of the watch. The new generation of Tritium watches are the easiest in the world to read in low light conditions and even in total darkness. The light emitting devices require no battery power or any other form of charging, and never needs servicing or maintenance.

Why is Tritium Superior?

So now that we know what it is and how it works we have to ask why it is superior to other forms of illumination?  The benefits of Tritium as a watch illumination system is simple.  Making watches visible in low light or at night has been a perplexing problem since wrist timepieces were first invented. While watchmakers thought the problem was solved 100 years ago with the use of radium, it quickly proved too radio active and dangerous. Radium was outlawed for use in watches over 50 years ago. Luminous substitutes found in 95% of watches sold today require the use of an external light source to recharge the illumination. Many owners complain that the luminous paint works poorly and fades quickly, often in just minutes of darkness. Another alternative, using electric back lighting, requires the owner to press a button and quickly uses up battery power. It often fails to light the dial evenly and has proven unreliable.

With Tritium you have a constant source of light that requires no additional power source.  No buttons to push and no fading as the night draws on.  The Tritium stays light day in and day out for up to 25 years.  All you have to do is take a quick glance at the watch and you know exactly what time it is.  No fuss, no muss.  Tritium provides a clean, easy to read light source that stays perfectly visible all night long.  No other illumination can claim those benefits.  Starting to see why we are such big fans around here?

Because of the increasing popularity of Tritium illumination, several brands now offer this feature. Time4Tritium, Gem of the Day and Topflight Watches are proud to offer the following brands: UZI Watches, Smith and Wesson Watches, Traser Watches, H3 Tactical Watches, Luminox Watches and Mondaine Watches. All these brands are equipped with a tritium gas tubes to illuminate the dial.

For more information on this and any other questions to may have please call us Toll Free at 1-888-243-6329.

New Automatics from Traser

Today I bring you some very exciting news from the Tritium watch world.  Traser, one of the worlds leading Tritium watch manufacturers, is bring out two brand new automatic watches with full tritium illumination.  The first model is based off of the incredibly good looking Aviator series and the other is from the P6600 military camp.  Both watches feature Swiss ETA movements.  The GMT Aviator features the ETA 2893-2 and the P6600 Automatic features the ETA 2824-2 EL.  Both watches are extremely well made and have the amazingly bright tritium illumination we have all come to know and love.  I love to see both of these series expanding their selection.  Traser truly is one of the very best watch manufacturers out there and these two series are some of my favorites.

BÜcker Automatic UTC

The Aviator collect is quite frankly one of the best looking watches being made today.  In a world fully of military type watches the Master collection is a breath of fresh air.  It is a series equally at home in the office, on the golf course or out in the field.  It is still tough enough to wear anywhere you want to take it and still one of the best looking watches around.  On top of that, this watch also features a 4-hand GMT that is also Tritium illuminated.  This allows you to use the GMT function (UTC/ZULU or just as a second time zone) anytime, day or night.  In the Tritium watch world, very few watches have have an illuminated 4th hand setting this watch even further apart from the pack.  This is a truly unique timepiece, not to be passed up by the true collector.

On the flip side you have the P6600 Military collection.  And just as I noted earlier, this is yet another military style watch in a sea of military watches.  So what makes this collection so special?  Well innovation for one thing.  A truly unique double case design fuses the strength of stainless steel with the lightweight properties of the composite cases.  This allows for a screw down crow and case back but keeps the watch at a comfortable weight.  And that is just the start.  This watch also features a genuine Sapphire Crystal and 300 Meters Water Resistance!  That's right, this is a true hard core divers watch capably of going anywhere and doing anything you can throw at it.  Even after all of that, this is also one of the best looking military watches available today.  I mean just look at it (pictured below)!  Nuff said.

Traser P6600 Shadow

Well, Traser has finally entered the "Blackout" market with entry of the P6600 Shadow. Now, up until this point, Luminox has been running away with the "Blackout" segment of the market. In fact, the Original Blackout from Luminox has sold so well that there is now a whole collection of watches by Luminox that feature the "Blackout" treatment. And to top it off, several of these watches are the best selling Luminox watches ever. So, it only makes sense for Traser to answer back with a "Blackout" watch of their own. Enter the P6600 Shadow...

Based off of the P6600 Mil-G platform this is maybe the best Blackout watch to come along yet. Although Traser's Blackout has arrived a year later than Luminox and many other Swiss brands in Blackout Design, they lead the field in making their Blackout to meet and exceed the new, tougher, MIL-W-46374F Specifications. The Traser P6600 Shadow is the leader in Military Stealth Watches.

Traser cut no corners in the manufacture of these watches. The P6600 Shadow uses the latest dual case design that basically places the precision Swiss movement inside two cases for the ultimate in shock and water protection. The watch utilizes a K1 Grade Mineral Glass Crystal for improved strength and durability and a carbon fiber unidirectional elapse time bezels with a tritium Traser dot at the 60 minute mark. The new Traser P6600 Shadow also utilizes full tritium illumination on the dial of the watch. This is the watch to wear when your very safety depends on having the precise time at a glance.

All of this in an all new slicker Blacked-Out version. The combination of style, durability, military precision and quality parts make this one of the best watches available today. The price makes it one of the best buys out there today. Combining all of the strengths and affordable price makes this the first MUST HAVE watch of 2012.

Traser Elite Red

The all new TRASER P6600 Type 6 ELITE RED is the very first military grade watch to both offer the new RED TRITIUM and to meet and exceed the toughest military standards, MIL-SPEC-F. The P6600 is highly stable and shock resistant, with greatly improved water resistance. Traser watches are known throughout the world for their strength, durability and quality. But this new series is made to even a higher standard.

What makes the new P6600 RED ELITE so very different from all other military watches is the unique RED TRITIUM which is less bright than traditional green tritium. Although the wearer can read the time with precision accuracy in night ops, the watch cannot be spotted by others, protecting the wearing from being identified by the enemy.

Red Tritium has only recently been perfected by the engineers at Traser, H3 mb-microtec, the only manufacturer of Tritium Gas Tube illumination in the world. At this time only one watch has this very special feature. It is not available from any other manufacturer or on any other brand of watch.

On the ELITE RED, Red Tritium marks the hour, minute and second hands, as well as the hour positions. Blue Tritium marks only the 12 o'clock marker on the dial.

The Traser ELITE RED P6600 is also water resistant to 600 feet (200 meters) and has the improved K1 Hardened Mineral Glass Crystal for improved strength and scratch resistance.

Like it's nearly identical cousin, the Traser Mil-Spec-G, the new Traser P6600 ELITE RED has both a Day of the Week and a Date display.

ALL New Traser Translucent Collection

The guys here at the Watch Guys and pleased to introduce the ALL NEW Classic Series from Traser. Say hello to the Translucent Silver Collection! This series provides a fantastic new feature not seen anywhere else. Through careful engineering Traser is able to light the whole dial using only four (4) tritium tubes. That's right! All 12 markers are illuminated using only four markers.

How? By using ingenious new technology. Traser has implemented a translucent dial (hence the namesake) and reflectors to transmit the light to all of the markers. The result is remarkable. Be sure to check out the night illumination view to get the full effect.

But it doesn't stop there. This is also one of the thinnest Tritium watches available today, measuring in at only 8mm thick. This is also in part thanks to the new technology. Ther are able to mount the hands and markers on the same level and therefore cut out part of the normal height requirements.

Couple the slim, sleek design, classic good looks and new technology and you have a real winner. Not only that but it has a remarkable low price too! Check one out today. You will not be disappointed.

Traser Ladyline?

In the world of Tritium watches a true LADIES watch is rare indeed. Sure there are some 3/4 models out there that are generally much larger than most woman want to wear and even those are hard to find. In general, a ladies Tritium watch is non existent. Granted not every woman in the world is clamoring for a ladies Tritium watch but there is definitely a market for it. Especially for woman in the medical profession, military and law enforcement to name a few. (And we get calls from people looking for a good ladies Tritium watch every day.)

So you can understand how excited I was to hear that Traser, makers of nice quality Tritium watches, was making an entire line of Ladies watches! This was something the watch industry was in dire need of and Traser was poised to take full advantage.

Unfortunately, they really dropped the ball. At least in terms of "Ladies" watches. Don't get me wrong, the "Ladyline" by Traser has some Fantastic Models, Great Quality, New Attractive Designs and features you want. So you are asking yourself, If everything is so good, what's the problem? The problem is that the watches are too big. Full size actually! That's right, full size mens watches. In fact, many of them are the same watches they already make. They just simply "Repainted" them and stamped them with "Ladyline" on the label. Take a look at some of the side by side comparisons.

These are the EXACT same watches as the "men's" counterpart. Just with different color combinations/bands.

Literally no difference at all. Same watch, same size, same features. Seems like a copout to me. If you are going to make a ladies line of watches, then make some new watches. Not just repaint the men's watches.

Now to be fair they did develop some legitimately new models (one pictured below). These are great looking models! Some even using PINK Tritium, which is a fantastic touch. And with these being ALL NEW designs, surely they made them an appropriate size, right? Nope, sorry. These models are even BIGGER than the largest mens watch they make. Just how big? 44mm on average. (Most of the mens line is 40mm-42mm).

Of course, I realize that these are Swiss designed watches and as long as we are being objective, you need to have all the facts. Over in Europe ladies are wearing much larger watches then they are here in the USA. In fact, it is not unusual to see a ladies watch push the 50mm barrier... in Europe, but unfortunately we have not quite gotten there here in the USA. So what does this mean for ladies here in the USA looking for a Tritium watch? It looks like you're going to have to continue to wait. The Ladyline from Traser is not the answer to the average consumer here in the States.

So, in the mean time, What do we do with the "Ladyline"? Easy, sell them for what they are. New mens models. (and a few LARGE ladies models) Because aside from the Pink and Blue models, every one of these look quite sharp and could easily be worn by men.

So those looking for some new styles, you're in luck. Those looking for new "ladies" watches, you may need to pass on this one. I just don't think America is ready for these watches just yet.
