Traser Creates a True GMT Pilot's Watch... and It's Beautiful

Finally, H3 mb-microtec, the Swiss parent of Traser Watches, who are, by the way, the world leader in Tritium Technology, has added true GMT Pilot's Watches with independent fourth hands and a 24 hour subdials. Most importantly they've continued their leadership in watch illumination technology to create an amazingly functional and tremendously beautiful Pilot's Watch.
Top Flight Watches is pleased to introduce the all new P59 Aurora GMT Pilot's Watch Collection to our pilot's and travelers here in the U.S.A. As mentioned above the P59 Aurora is a true dual time zone watch, a 12 hour and a 24 hour timepiece with a fourth hand to easily indicate 24 hour time for any time zone you desire. The gradient color dial adds a touch of Swiss sophistication to the overall design and is great looking, too.
The watch also uses a combination of Lumi-Bright Luminous paint and Tritium Illumination to light the dial insuring maximum visibility day or night. There is Tritium Illumination on all hour markers and on ALL HANDS, including the 24 hour hand.  The 24 Hour subdial is also  fully illuminated with Tritium.

H3 mb-microtec has chosen to use their new super thin tritium gas tubes for illumination which allows more tubes to be placed closer together as you can see from the close-up above,  This means you get an illuminated marker for each of the 24 hour time indicators.
Traser P59 Aurora GMT collection includes four model choices, all with stainless steel cases, anti-glare coated, scratchproof sapphire glass crystals and with depth tested water resistance down to 100 meters or 330 feet below sea level.  There are two dial colors and two strap or bracelet choices.  They can all be seen on either website linked below:

Fall Preview: Torgoen's T33 Series

"The T33 was made in commemoration of one of the most successful American planes in the history of the Airforce, the P51 North American Mustang. It was designed by Edgar Schmued and introduced in 1942 to be used in WWII, but it continued to be used in the Korean war and other conflicts. It broke many speed records for piston engine airplanes even decades after its production ended. The Mustang was used for a "fighter sweep" to clear the air for the B52 bombers. When the Mustangs started being used the Luftwaffe lost 17% of their pilots in one week." - Torgoen USA

The T33 is designed in the fashion of the P51 Mustang with features of the cockpit. It's inspiration was drawn from the legendary plane itself and is a striking looking time piece. Like most torgoen watches it was designed with pilots in mind. Clear and easy to read hands and markers are designed to be readable in the blink of an eye. The numbers, hands and markers take design ques directly from the instruments found on the P51. The idea is to not only borrow from the design of the P51 but also recreate the ideal readability. The last thing you need to do while flying is to have to stare at your instruments. You need to be able to tell at an instant exactly wehat is going on. The same is true for the T33 "Mustang" Collection.
On the inside is an all Swiss made Rhonda chronograph movement. Precise, well built and dependable. The case is solid stainless steel and it's available in a wide variety of dial colors and band options. In fact a total of 10 different options of this watch are available. Each has a nicely unique look and feel to it. With a collection this diverse, you would be hard pressed to not find a model that speaks to you personally.

Other key features include a K1 Mineral Crystal, 100 meter water resistance, true 12 hour chronograph and luminous hands and markers for night visibility. It's a truly striking Swiss made watch at a very affordable price. The watch has great fit and finish front and back as do all the newer Torgoen watches of late. Torgoen is really stepping up their game and changes company wide have set them on a new path to deliver the best quality available. The T33 "Mustang" Collection is a perfect example of the new direction and the quality they can produce.

If you would like to see all 10 models together, visit Torgoen USA. TopFlight Watches is proud to be among the first to offer this watch here in the USA. The Citizen Navihawk is Back!

The Citizen Navihawk is a classic and beloved watch from years past.  Back before the change to Eco-Drive the Navihawk was one of citizen top-of-the-line model pilots watches.  Actually, it was the equivalent of the modern Skyhawk.  In fact, the Skyhawk directly took the place of the Navihawk. The only real difference between the two models was the Eco-Drive technology.  As such, the Navihawk was phased out in favor of the new Eco-Drive model.  But now the Navihawk has made a triumphant return to the Citizen line-up and does so with style.

The Watch Guys are proud to introduce the all new Citizen Eco-Drive Navihawk A-T (citizen model JY8035-04E). Back with all the trimmings, this new model is once again one of Citizens top-of-the-line watches and comes jam packed with all of their modern tech.  With Atomic Clock synchronization for superior accuracy, this radio-controlled timepiece displays digitally the time in 43 cities, and has a 99-minute countdown timer and Universal Coordinated Time (UTC) display as well as 2 world Time Alarms, Analog/Digital Display and 180-Day power Reserve.  Completely with a back-light for the digital display.

Basically, it's a Skyhawk A-T in new clothes but boy does it look good all dressed up!  The Navihawk features an all black stainless steel case (black ion plating), with a deep embossed black polyurethane strap and orange accents on the dial.  The overall effect is quite striking in person and give the watch a tougher look than it's Skyhawk brothers.  The rotating bezel has a coin-edge finish on the outer ring and provides nice grip when using the E6B Bezel for calculations.

Overall fit and finish is also top notch and really should be seen to be appreciated.  Everything from the buttons to the bezel to the case-back and nicely finished and feel good to the touch.  Citizen really out did themselves once again.  The Navihawk is a welcome edition to the Citizen watch brand and watch fans the world over.

For more information, pricing and ordering information on this model please visit our page at Topflight Watches.   Or for the complete collection of Navihawk A-T's you can visit us here.

New Automatics from Traser

Today I bring you some very exciting news from the Tritium watch world.  Traser, one of the worlds leading Tritium watch manufacturers, is bring out two brand new automatic watches with full tritium illumination.  The first model is based off of the incredibly good looking Aviator series and the other is from the P6600 military camp.  Both watches feature Swiss ETA movements.  The GMT Aviator features the ETA 2893-2 and the P6600 Automatic features the ETA 2824-2 EL.  Both watches are extremely well made and have the amazingly bright tritium illumination we have all come to know and love.  I love to see both of these series expanding their selection.  Traser truly is one of the very best watch manufacturers out there and these two series are some of my favorites.

BÜcker Automatic UTC

The Aviator collect is quite frankly one of the best looking watches being made today.  In a world fully of military type watches the Master collection is a breath of fresh air.  It is a series equally at home in the office, on the golf course or out in the field.  It is still tough enough to wear anywhere you want to take it and still one of the best looking watches around.  On top of that, this watch also features a 4-hand GMT that is also Tritium illuminated.  This allows you to use the GMT function (UTC/ZULU or just as a second time zone) anytime, day or night.  In the Tritium watch world, very few watches have have an illuminated 4th hand setting this watch even further apart from the pack.  This is a truly unique timepiece, not to be passed up by the true collector.

BÜcker Automatic UTC - Night View

On the flip side you have the P6600 Military collection.  And just as I noted earlier, this is yet another military style watch in a sea of military watches.  So what makes this collection so special?  Well innovation for one thing.  A truly unique double case design fuses the strength of stainless steel with the lightweight properties of the composite cases.  This allows for a screw down crow and case back but keeps the watch at a comfortable weight.  And that is just the start.  This watch also features a genuine Sapphire Crystal and 300 Meters Water Resistance!  That's right, this is a true hard core divers watch capably of going anywhere and doing anything you can throw at it.  Even after all of that, this is also one of the best looking military watches available today.  I mean just look at it (pictured below)!  Nuff said.

P6600 Automatic

Both of these watches are new and have very limited availability.  Please call us for pricing and available quantities.  Short waiting periods may be required.  Our Toll Free number is 1-888-243-6329.

Torgoen's Newest Series - Alarm, GMT

We are pleased to introduce the newest series of Torgoen Swiss Professional Pilot's Watches, the T30 Collection. The T30's are the first Alarm Watches ever offered by Torgoen Swiss. And they off a fully independent 24 hour Military Style Hand and outer dial for tracking ZULU Time or a 2nd Time Zone. But we like the T30's because we think they are, by far, the best looking watches in the entire Torgoen line!

The Dual Time Hand (marked by a "24" on the end of the hand) hand can be set independently of the primary watch. It keeps track of time on the 24 hour scale with markers around the outer dial. Most pilots will set this hand to Greenwich Mean Time (GMT), often also called ZULU Time and used by all pilots for logs and record keeping. Travelers might want to use it to keep track of a 2nd time zone. The watch is easy to read and features a big triple date window and a sweep second subdial.

The T30 has a 12 hour analog alarm feature. Like most alarm wristwatches, the alarm is not loud and might not awaken a sound sleeper. It is ideal for keeping track of appointments or timing intervals. And like all the best Alarm watches, it is extremely east to set and use.

This really is my favorite Torgoen model currently available. It has style, function, clean design and easy to use. What more could you want? If you are interested in purchasing one of these you can visit one of our online stores. There you can find more photos, pricing and the full specs on this series. Check it out at TopFlight Watches or Gem of the Day.

Spread the Word - H3 Tactical is a Force in the Watch Industry

The addition of several fine Swiss brands of Tritium Watches has been a real benefit to the American consumer. While Luminox remains the leader in Tritium Illuminated Watches, a lot has changed in just the last three years! Today people looking for Tritium watches now have at least six brands and over 200 different models from which to chose.

Even more important, the addition of several Swiss manufacturers has led to increased competition and increased innovation. This, in turn has led to lower prices and new and exciting product.

We try to work with every watch company to bring our customers the very best new watches. And while every company has its strengths and weaknesses, no company is working harder to understand the American consumer or to build a better, more competitive product that H3 Tactical.

The management of H3 Tactical listens carefully to our every request and asks all the right questions about our customers. And then they quickly develop the products we need. Well, quickly isn't the best term to use when describing Swiss Watchmaking. Generally this means six to twelve months.

As great example is their development of a true ladies Tritium Sport Watch, the
Lady Commander. After Luminox decided to discontinue all Ladies watches, we asked every (and I do mean every) Swiss Tritium manufacturer to fill in the gap. Only H3 Tactical answered the challenge. Today the Lady Commander is a best seller.

No content to just develop "me too" product H3 Tactical has looked for areas where new and innovative watches are needed. One of the best examples in the Stealth Mission true 24 Hour Military Time Watch. This watch has twice the tritium of other watches and makes keeping track of military time easy, day or night. It's the watch I'm wearing in the picture at the top of this article. We also profiled this innovative watch earlier in this blog:
World's First Full Tritium 24 Hour Watch.

As the economy turns tough, it will take aggressive innovation, unyielding quality and great customer service to survive. We think H3 Tactical has what it takes.
